WHAT SUNDAYS LOOK LIKE

Our gatherings start at 10am with a time of sung worship, communion, a time to connect with each other over coffee, followed by a message, and often ending with a time of responding to God.

The church was started with three words, “Come, Holy Spirit”. We have gathered to keep seeking this ever since.

Our church is all kinds of ages and stages – some are checking out Christianity for the first time, and some have been following Jesus a long time. We want our community to be a whānau and on Sunday you’ll see a reflection of the many facets that make us that.

Our gatherings are our regular weekly space for encountering the presence of God and his Word together, so we give a fair bit of the time to this – singing, praying, eating and drinking, and learning together.

Families

Jesus loved the little ones and we do too! We want our littlest members to feel like they belong, are loved, have a place to learn about Jesus, and have fun! Sunday Gatherings are our most regular rhythm to facilitate this.

After worship, our kids split into three age groups to learn from Scripture, pray and play together. We also have a crèche for our littlest tamariki. This is open the whole gathering.

  • A special space for our toddlers to start learning about Jesus. Parents are welcome to participate, or as you and your child is ready, you can check them in and return to the gathering.

  • In Nippers, we create a fun and safe space to learn about the love of Jesus through games, crafts, stories and songs.

  • In Groms, we create a space for our tamariki to know Jesus more deeply by creating a fun and safe environment where they can be seen and known by their leaders and each other.

SERVE ON SUNDAYS

It takes many hands; from AV, to making coffee, setting up and packing down. There are lots of ways to pitch in and we’re grateful for your contribution to making Central Vineyard the most welcoming church it can be.
